Hi everyone! Welcome to Sip & Gloss—the virtual playground of a musician and social media girl who’s exploring the many layers of her ever-evolving interests and hobbies. Once a Tumblr teen, now navigating the winding path toward her mid-twenties with a little more sparkle and a whole lot of thoughts to share. Substack felt like the perfect space for the “thought daughter” in me to come to life, offering a glimpse into the glossy world of everything I’m currently obsessed with—from fleeting hyper-fixations to things that just tickles my brain that I can’t seem to get my mind off of.
I can already feel myself slipping into my Carrie Bradshaw era—cue the dramatic typing, a sip of something chic, and a flood of musings on things I love.
So, what is Sip & Gloss?
When I first started Sip & Gloss, I envisioned a space that would combine all of my passions—lifestyle, beauty, fashion, wellness, and everything else that I love. I wanted a fun, virtual space to share what I love, from mood boards to gift guides and to collaborate with like-minded people. But, as with any creative project, the name is where it all begins..
The idea for the name came to me one morning while I was sipping my tea. I thought about a habit that’s second nature to me—and, I think, to all my girlfriends: we always carry a gloss or lipstick in our bags and instinctively reach for it after taking a sip. That tiny moment, the little touch-up, instantly boosts our mood and gives us a little lift, no matter what the day throws at us. It’s those small, everyday acts—simple, yet meaningful—that bring joy, connection, and a sense of grounding.
This act of glossing my lips right after I’m done with my sips mirrors how I want Sip & Gloss to feel: effortless, genuine, and full of intention.
Beyond just creativity, Sip & Gloss resonates with the experience of girlhood—the quiet, small rituals that make us feel confident, grounded, and true to ourselves.
